It’s a little weird to know that I’m a part of a generation that basically grew up with all the 90s values, movies, technology, entertainment, games, etc; AND with all of the new technologies of the 21st century. It’s weird, to have such completely different things in my life. When I was 10, I played on a Gameboy Advanced SP, Nintendo DS, and like, 10 tomagachis. When I younger, I went on a computer watched the Window’s 98 load and heard the familiar sound panging through my ears. I played Tonka Joe, Pajama Sam, And Freddie Fish! Anyone remember Ms. Frizzle’s Magic School Bus adventures? Neopets, anyone? I remember helping my mom put data onto Floppy disks, and I remember being 4 and learning how to rewind a VHS tape so I could watch Tarzan, Mulan, and so many other awesome Disney movies over and over and over again.
90s TV was amazing! Johnny Bravo, Dexter’s Laboratory ( who else heard That in Dexter’s “LAB-OAR-AH-TOHR-REE?”), Powerpuff Girls, Gargoyles, That’s so Raven, Recess, Rugrats, The Thornberries, Ed, Edd, And Eddy, Courage the Cowardly Dog, Catdog, Looney Tunes, Animaniacs, Ren & Stimpy, Cow and Chicken, The Amanda Show, and then all of those shows on Boomerang that are from my parents’ childhood?
It’s crazy! All of these memories, and then growing up a little bit and being a kid in the 2000s with so much other stuff, like The New Nickelodeon shows like Jimmy Neutron, The Fairy Oddparents, CRAZY!
One of my favorite things about tumblr is see how many other people from my generations also share my nostalgia and my feelings. It’s so… cool. :)
